Sendy and Alan are a pair of young Chinese couple who were born and brought up in Australia, yet, they insist to carry many of the Chinese wedding traditions and customs to their wedding day which brings a new experience to their Australian friends and guests.
In Chinese weddings, the groom and groomsmen have to visit the bride’s home in the early morning with hampers and gifts, challenge the teasing game set by the bridesmaids before the groom can get in the house and greet the bride. Alan and his groomsmen were excellent in the games, a whole set of roasted pig was brought to Sendy’s home which impressed the bridesmaids most! When Alan walked in the house and greet Sendy, the smile on their faces were fabulous!
The rest of the day started off with the Chinese wedding tea ceremony, followed by exchanging rings and vows in a beautiful lakeside garden. We are glad that a fabulous big group photo with everyone enjoying the moments was captured after the wedding ceremony!
The reception held in the Fisherman’s Wharf Seafood Restaurant was kicked off and lightened up with the Chinese dancing lions and the loud beat of the drums. The enthusiasm of the guests stayed on till late and the bride and groom lived happily ever after…
